Simple Open Source Editing Software?

Well, when I say simple, I don't mean bare bones, but not convoluted and daunting.

Right now I use the gopro editing software and occasionally adobe premier. My problem is this, the gopro studio is a bit too basic and adobe premier, while amazing makes me work and learn things. While it isn't a problem, but it takes a lot of time where I could be doing other things.

Is there something in between that's free? Would be awesome if I could bridge the gap so I can import music, png images and so on.

Huh, I was hoping that wasn't the case. I love the gopro studio, it's just limited on certain thing. It is great for quick movies and raw footage.

I know you said open source, but have you considered trying the basic end of the Sony Vegas suite. In particular Movie Studio Platinum.
Although, I can understand not wanting to pay its $80 price tag.

Other than that, there's also Lightworks, but I'm not sure on how it is to use

Nah, I don't have the extra funds to spend more money on video editing programs. Riding dirtbikes often is expensive :x
