Selling Your Videos

Anyone been approached by companies to buy the licence to your video?

Got approached by JukinVideo recently and they managed to convince to do it.
I get 50/50 shares on the ad revenue , and most importantly i get my video out there

So far the vids sitting on aroudn 71k views (Their channel) and on mine its increased by around 2k views. Also gained a few subs.

So, Thoughts, would you do the same to your most popular vid? If not, why?

Well done man, Jukin is huge! Nothing wrong imo about getting people to see the video, but be careful of them altering it etc.

so far nothing,
they upload basically what you send them, maybe snip the ends a little..

I never heard of them before, I was like, whoa........

I'd certainly consider it. What have you really got to lose?

You'll make a bit of extra cash, gain some subs, gain some views and get your name out to a wider audience.

I guess you'd have to accept that video being lost to any further enterprise from you, unless the licensing is reversible? I imagine they have it stitched up pretty tight so that you can't back out once you're in!?

But hey, you don't get anything for nothing in this world!

Well done Marbo_Za. what's the video?

I just checked my Spam folder and apparently I have been approached by a channel too! Though it looks a little bit less established than Jukin.

Anybody heard of N4Gtv?

Apparently it's more of a partnership affair and they help you with your own channel rather than hosting on theirs.

I'm like Ollie though, I always assume EVERYTHING is a scam!!

OK, I went onto the tube of You and answered my own questions.

No real benefits. They just take a share of anything you might earn in return for some sound effects and posting your videos on their quite frankly weak youtube channel (I'm getting more views already!).

So that's that!

Personally I've no objections if someone wanted to use one of my clips, I'd probably let another vlogger have a bit if they wanted it, but a big channel that is wanting to make money from it can buy the damn thing off me. I'm not here to line someone else's pocket.

I've got you. I guess a paid review is a bit different though.

Bit of a legal grey area using them in the UK?
