Hello fellow riders,

I'm on the hunt for the ultimate pair of motorcycle leather gloves, and I'd love to hear your recommendations! I'm seeking top-notch quality in terms of protection, comfort, and durability. Which brands or models do you swear by? Also, where's the best spot to pick them up – whether it's online or in-store?

Appreciate any insights you can share!

Ride safe,

Ride safe,
I really like the brand "FIVE", I have their top of range heated gloves, top of range waterproof gloves, a pair of their sports gloves and also some waterproof enduro gloves (which I don't really get on with due to sizing).
The heated gloves are great in winter and paired with heated grips keep me able to ride all year round pretty much. Their waterproof gloves are like an early spring/late autumn glove, not quite warm enough for full on winter riding, but are 100% waterproof, as are the heated gloves, but they are very bulky, so these are a little more comfy. I have not worn the sports gloves yet, but will soon once I get my new leathers, but they offer great protection levels and all the "FIVE" gloves I have are touch screen capable, which is super handy on big trips. The enduro gloves are just a tad too small for me so I may get another pair a size up, although I tend to mainly just wear old road riding gloves on my trail bikes.

Am not sure where you are located, so recommending a store is not really possible.

In the summer above 70° F I now ride with leather gloves used by horse riders/farm workers here in the United States. When between 55 and 70 I use a pair of First Gear leather gauntlet gloves I have had for over 20 years. Between 40 and 55 I use a set of leather heated gloves from Harley-Davidson that I have had for 15 years. Between 19 and 40 I use a set of snowmobile glove from Cabellas.

The worst gloves I have used were Icons Super Duty. They last 1 year. The combo wetness and hit summer heat of Route 66 did them in. They were ok before that trip.

Actual crash experience is the best advert for a glove for sure! :)
I found that mine fit best after being soaked with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water, then worn until they dried. I clenched my fists regularly throughout the process.

I also have a pair of Rukka Virium II goretex gloves that performed very well during an 8 hr ride from Durness to Ullapool in constant rain.

I have found Racer gloves to have the best fit andI have protection - I tested a pair of the High Racer gloves in 2022 with a get off at 60mph
I've had a pair of Racer summer gloves for a few years now. I think they are the "Multi Top Short" gloves. They were a little uncomfortable to begin with, but soon wore in and are now very comfortable. For the very hottest days I wear Knox mesh gloves, but these Racers are my lightest leather gloves.

In fact, I was wearing them in my latest video.

I can't vouch for their crash protection, though.

Thanks for the detailed feedback on the "FIVE" gloves! It sounds like they have a great range for different riding conditions. I'll definitely check them out. Appreciate the tip!

Not sure if you will be able to find them but I got a pair of gloves from the Polish brand SECA - the model is Trackday short and those are some really impressive gloves. They got everything I need - comfort and protection, and some carbon and D3O as well LOL.
