Rigging, How Far Is Too Far..

This might be a bit too far.... o_O

That setup looks a little crazy. I can only see a bike mount or two + a helmet mount as being useful. Mainly the helmet mount though. And the maximum at any one time would be two cameras for me. One on the bike facing me and one on the head. Or I'd have the one on the bike positioned on one of the rear fairings or chain-guard to catch any footage of knee downs if I were to go on a track.. But that won't be happening any time soon LOL.

I don't know- I think it's kind of neat, albeit a little obnoxious looking. I also can't image getting usable footage at speed.

I think if that flexible arm is rigid enough (like the gopro one) it would get some decent footage...but definitely not a discrete setup...

Same thing with those helmet rigs that spin around...

That thing is awesome! I can't see using one for motovlogging but I can see getting some awesome mountain bike footage with one of those!

I hope I never see anyone wearing this. The only time I'd be okay with someone using something like the Doc Oc rig is if they're doing something very specific and NOT on busy public streets. Think Downshift's wheelie intro out in BFE. He's got an interesting pole-mount rig for shots like that.

I have a 6 foot pole (nick-named "GoPole") that I used for some rides, currently on temporary retirement while I work with a buddy of mine for some RnD and possibly a better angle just like if you are playing a motorcycling game. Should be fun. Definitely not meant to be used on busy streets.

That is cool as hell

That GoPole does make one really neat shot! I think the third person mount would also do really well for a unique video, but it would definitely get you a lot of weird looks lol

I don't think it matters if you use 5 or even 6 cameras while riding. The trick is to only use footage from those cameras which adds value. Don't just use it because you recorded something.
