Anyone on here use one of these. Thinking about getting one.
I've heard the full face reevu is meant to be really good and quiet . I'm curious as to how the fsx1 fairs with wind noise as I'm using a caberg sintesi and find it quite noisy with motorway riding.

10 second google search can save a post,

I personally think the idea is just novelty and stupid.
the mirror is too small and they say "reduces the amount of he'd checks "

well shit, nothing wrong with doing head checks, if you think this helmet replaces them, then you are looking at it the wrong way. its not a helmet id ever get.

Been back in the saddle for last 4 years, head checks a part of the norm for me, not even a blind spot mirror could replace them.
Done Google searches till I ran out of sites to look at. Would rather have the opinion of someone who's used/using one.
I've stuck with the Cabergs over the last 4 years, first one was the jet, one now is the Sintesi, been using that one for last 2 years. just fancy a wee change so to save £300 thought I would ask on here before wasting my hard earned cash.

I looked I to one a while ago and was to that they can be quite dangerous for brininging in glare from the sun when behind you. Apparently the mirror angle really directs the sun into the eyes. Was also told that similar problems with car lights at night where
You get dazed. Was enough for me to stay 'conventional'

friend of mine got one from a shop for a test vid.
main deficit is that its bigger than most helmets and heavier too.
he also said that you can get in trouble with the sun. xD I think its not worth the money or bother

I d rather wait for that rear camera thing/android supported helmet :P

skully? google it i can t post links yet

The rear camera looks interesting but no doubt very expensive!! Personally I'd probably wait a while after the release to make sure that its technology that will stick and not just some gimmicky proto-type.

Now it's been mentioned twice bout the glare its got me thinking bout not getting one. I mean its bad enough going round a corner and getting blinded or getting the same when the sun hits your mirrors from behind.

Heard about skully around 4/5 months ago and applied to be a beta tester. looks like its going to be a great lid and heard it's going to be quite expensive.

Ride safe

why don t you ask if you can test ride the reevu. i just saw that the rear mirror thing is actually quite big. and that the helmet looks very big on my friend (kinda reminds me of blaster) "master baster mad max 3"

I could post the vid but its in german and i bet there are tons of reevu review vids on you tube

Just saw this and thought I'd help out. I've been using an MSX1 for a while now but quizzed them for a good while first as it was a bit of a leap of faith buying not just the helmet but the concept. They're a really friendly bunch and answered all my questions, including the ones above. These are the answers I got;

"Is you helmet bigger or heavier than an "ordinary" helmet?"

Our helmets are roughly the same size as ordinary full face helmets and the weight across the range varies from 1550-1650g

"Are sunlight or car headlamps a danger when using the rearview mirror?"

All Reevu helmets come as standard with a mercurised rear visor, this is a development to reduce glare from any light entering the rear visor. In the rare case that persistent strong light is a problem i.e. someone tailgating with full beam headlights, then the mirror can be tilted to remove any irritation.

"Does the mirror reduce the need for shoulder checks?"

No, no and a million times no! The whole concept of the Reevu helmet was to give the rider more awareness and more safety. The rearview technology in our helmets should be used WITH shoulder checks too. And from a legal stand point we could never even imply that our helmet can replace shoulder checks.

Hope this helps out, I might be a bit of a fanboi but I just bought my second one and love this one too.
