Rear Fender Elimination: Rain?

Just a question guys, if you are doing a fender elimination on your bike, what do you do during Rainy season?

Replace the eliminator with teh stock fender? Or just deal with it?

Any ideas on how to prevent a splatter on your back if you choose to stick with the eliminator?

Bobbing rear fenders goes way back in time. A question you may want to consider is about if anyone is going to be riding behind you even when dry. The rear tire throws small rocks and such up and back.

If I were bob a rear fender, I might consider fabricating something that could be attached relatively easy to serve as a full guard for the rainy season.

What make/model bike are you looking at customizing?

my Guzzi is useless in the wet, I just only ride it in the dry, even my KTM 390 is useless in the wet with the tail tidy, I get soaked riding either up my back. I am probs not going to get one for my Triumph as I want to be able to use that even when the weather is naff.
If I get caught out on either the V7 or 390 I just deal with it, get wet and walk around like I've pee'd myself until I dry out! lol :D

@R-Rated This is the bike that I have: https://www.suzukimotorcycle.co.in/product/gixxersf

This is how it looks after the elimination. Its a custom chop job, no aftermarket stuff is available for this bike.

Sweet. I recall some BMW bikes have what appears to be a floating piece that would cover right about where the most fling would come off.

Ah yeah thats a Splash guard. Thats a good option to have just during the monsoon.
