Random Foot Pain.

Anyone else get random toe / foot pain when riding.

Been a few solid days commuting on the bike and starting to get a sore left foot.

Not sure if it's shifter pain or from the weight when I stop.

Will be off the bike for the next couple of days so will see if it stops.

And no it's not gout I take tablets for that.

Could be one of those many things that are 600% bigger and 700% deadlier than normal bugs everywhere else in the world

After a few hours of riding with start stop and getting on/off etc. I get pain in the arch of my foot. But only when wearing the riding boots. Shoes are fine.

A wasp or something like that smacked into my visor at 100km/h and cracked the visor, I nearly back flipped off the bike I got such a fright!

- Foot troubles. Maybe try insoles, jthomas, & possibly the same for you lupin, I know the FZ1N have the comfy foot pegs like my CBR500 (I don't get foot pains)

Going to adjust the shiftier position.

Its the top of the foot that hurting so think its more the shifting than anything.

Sounds like strain from your toe pressing up on the shifter. What kind of shoes are you wearing? They make shoes for riding that have hard leather where your toe meets the shifter which might help. I ride in tennis shoes on rare occasion, like if I'm just going up the street, and there's a noticeable difference between how much pressure is put on my toe vs. when I'm wearing my boots.

Think I've got the shoe thing covered.

Think I might have the shifter up a little high and I'm moving my foot too much.

Would you say your bike is difficult to shift between gears? Ever compared the shitt to another bike?

Nope light as a feather. I use the quick shifter most of the time so there is no load on it anyway.

One day off the bike and the pains gone so think it's really just the shifter being a little high.

When I think about it I had it off a couple of weeks ago when I did the chain and cleaned the crap out of the front sprocket. So it may not be quite in the same spot. Maybe just one tooth around.

Quite odd. Even if the shifter was hard it's not like you were literally "kung-fu kicking" it. Yet, it could be the ergonomics. Get well soon!

I get that in my right foot, i used to get it snowboarding. Boots didnt fit right. Now having the same issue with new riding shoes and positioning on the peg.

Oh I forgot to say what I changed to stop it.

I now put my heel down first when I stop at the lights. Think it was just the weight on the ball and toe area causing it.
