Preview/Trailers for your motovlogs...

Hey guys,

So after taking on board what Hippo said about 5 minute previews being too long and not giving anyone the incentive to go to your channel and watch the whole video instead, I decided to make a 1min ish trailer for my latest video.

What do you guys do regarding previews or trailers? Do you use them? If so, have you seen any positive results from doing so?

Here's a unlisted version of the preview I design I went with this time.

I have made video for FB or Insta, but it needs to be really snappy if it is going to draw folk to click onto the full vid. I'd say try and get it to under 40 or even better sub 30 seconds :-)

Never really made previews for social media.
Have seen them on Insta for sure, always in the 10 to 30 sec range.

I made one for non-subscribers to see when they land on my channel page. It's seventeen seconds long - a quick blur of my bike flying by, some engine noise, and a flash of the logo.

FYI: When I upload 1min trailers to IGTV, I usually get 100 or so views. Today I uploaded a 30 second clip of my MT09 test ride. It had 400 views within 2 hours haha. I guess you guys were right about keeping them short...

Attention span has definately decreased in modern times.

I think I have only done one trailer vid and that was for our 6 part tour series.

Definately a place for the snappy 30s vid but I havnt nailed that market yet.
