Plastic Cleanup

Hey All,
I would like to see if we as a community can start a movement to start cleaning up the world's oceans from the plastic debris that has been floating in it, killing off the wildlife in each ocean. I saw this video that is pretty interesting at:
(Note: it is a long video)
It is something that when I start my business, will be something that I will be focused upon.
If there are any motovloggers that are in Hawaii, this would be an important thing to do, as that video talks about the plastic that has washed up on the shores of Camillo Bay and Lanai Island. I am going to research this some more, but one of the things that my company will do is to not only recycle computers down to the component level, but to also take the plastic and recycle that into fuel oil and clean up the world's oceans.

Hey man I love the idea but honestly the amount of plastic being dumped atm has little chance of being cleaned in the following decade atleast. Best bet is educating kids of exactly what it is doing to our planet.

Hey, thanks for responding. Well, if there is a way to clean it up, I am all for it, and if it is on the beaches like in Hawaii, there has to be a recycling center that will take the plastics, like there is here in Arkansas. I can research it and see what plastic recycling companies are near you. I think it does take a matter of educating our kids on what it is doing to our planet, but if we don't start doing something now, it will severely affect our food supply for decades to come. I think this could be a call to action to start doing something instead of letting it continue.

Oh man, don't worry about me. I am always recycling and looking for new ways to use old items. I think this is a worthy read (http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/green-science/clean-up-garbage-patch.htm) and is very interesting. Anyways this is a movement that has had the ball rolling for quite some time imo, but still great info to share!

Cool, I read the article link, and it is a good read. I saw somewhere on youtube where this individual is in the process of trying to help clean up the ocean from the plastic. This video also talks about it at:
The guy talking about it is Boyan Slat, and how invented something that will pick up the plastic in the ocean.
This is another video about it at:
,
as well at this link at:
.
If there is a way to clean up this plastic from the ocean, then I say, let's do it. We can start by adopting a beach, and picking up all the trash that is on that beach, and maybe dedicate a few hours a day to ridding the beaches of plastic like that which can be found in Hawaii, and maybe California as well. Other states would be any states that border the pacific ocean, and possibly even the gulf of mexico, as well as maybe the eastern coasts. When I get my business started, I will pretty much do a operation similar to this when it comes to plastic at:
.
This is something I have been researching for a long time.
