Periscope...any Opportunity To Make Money?

guys, I've owned 4 successful business and am fairly creative when it comes to things people enjoy. YouTube has made a revenue stream for some motovloggers but is livestream next? Is there a way to livestream right now with any of the big name cameras? Is there a market for people wanting to see a possible crash or pay-per-view for a sweet run up the tail of the dragon on a Vespa or something...

Mordeth13 sold privates series back in the good ole days. I have no clue how much he made or how much demand there was for it, but I do know one thing... You need an EXTREMELY LOYAL and HUGE fanbase to make something like this work. A guy like Walter would probably have no problem getting 1% of his subscribers to buy a series or paying for pay-per-view. Good luck mate!

I have seen that GoPro offers it through livestream, and sony through ustream and a couple other companies with some apps. I guess I just don't really get the whole periscope thing and I'm trying to wrap my brain around marketing opportunities. I mean, facebook has/is starting to get into "competition" with youtube for the video marketing and ad sales opportunities yet are failing by not allowing the little guys to get in on it too. Where is motovlogging going next I guess is the question :)

Youtube didn't allow little guys in to start with. It makes launching a new service a lot more straight forward for them.

IDK I kinda see it as a waste of time as there is no editing.
but isn't that the point of it? People, for some reason, want to drop in a see all of it... the mundane, the exciting, the sneeze that almost takes you out... I don't get it either for a common person (or famous for that matter) but periscope is trending like crazy for some reason.

No one wants to see the mundane.
You might be surprised! I just overheard a lady talking about periscope and some celebrity she like was using it, just walking around... People can surprise you with the things they like. Stupid yes, but some people just fit righ into that category. I have been constantly surprised by what "entertains" some people. I'm more of a "doer" so I flat out don't get it. I'd rather play than watch and since my time is very limited..that's how I roll ;)

Might be cool if could some how safely field questions and comments maybe at stop lights via a smartphone mounted the handle bars.

I think people would watch. I wonder if you could use Twitch I think they are opening to more than just games.

My rides are much too boring to put too much thought into it. Maybe like a road race or something where you could select what cameras you want to watch from with a mic'd up racer talking everyone through what they are doing and thinking...that could be cool!
