Out Of Sync

Hello peeps

Just want to rack your brains ...my sound is always slightly out of sync on my go pro when I use a mic ..any ideas why this is and how I compensate for it ...i'm bowing down to the knowledgable ones

Compensate in the edit by detaching the audio from the video and shunting it to suit?

A clap in front of the cam should give you both an audio and video marker to sync from.

Why would the audio be out of sync if it's recorded together with the video by the GoPro? If you can't detach audio, try putting two clips running simultaneously but one is slightly ahead/behind of the other and mute the one that is slower/faster than what it should be.

Else you can use some freeware to rip the video into MP3 (audio) only format, and then you'll have a separate audio clip which you can place to correctly sync with the video. I kinda forgot the name of the freeware that can do it, maybe someone else can share?

I find it strange too i use a cheap boya the first clip seems to be ok then it goes out of sync
