Oregon Vlogger Checking In

DorkyRoad

Riding Nerdy
Hey everyone!

I've been lurking here for a few days absorbing all the great tips and figured it was time to make an account and introduce myself.

I've just started vlogging (3 videos up!) but have been a fan of multiple vloggers for a year or so. I just started riding again last year.

I'm hoping my channel's content is unique enough that it doesn't overlap too much with anyone else out there.

Thanks in advance for all the great advice and support! I've been absorbing and digesting every word of MotoNoob's guide for beginners over the last few days. Great stuff there and all over the forum, really.

Keep two wheels on the pavement!

Welcome to the Forum. What part of Oregon are you from? My mother and sister and her family live in Portland, and I live there a few summers back in the mid-90's. Always been my dream to ride out west.

Hey man!

I live in Albany. It's about an hour south of PDX. Just down I5.

I've driven past (by car) on my many commutes from Portland to LA. My sister used to work in Salem, but I never had a chance to visit. Ironically I'm originally from Albany, NY.

Also, great Vlogs!

Thanks, man. I often wonder if my ramblings are only amusing to me or if they'll actually resonate with anyone else. Glad to hear you found them somewhat entertaining.

Unfortunately the weather has taken a turn with no relief in sight, so I may have to make another video game vlogging video or two before I can get back on the bike.

Keep doing what you're doing. It's funny!

I was speaking with my mom yesterday and the weather's still pretty bad out there. Ironically, she's stayed out there just to avoid East coast style weather. The winters I've been there for have always been bad. Ice storms and fierce winds coming down the Columbia Over gorge. I hope to have a new Vlog out this weekend, ironically on Winter Communting.

Ride safe,

- Wuf
