Now go figure this...

I have another channel, it was my original channel, created over 10 years ago, and before I was even into motorcycling. It was just personal stuff from travels, some family stuff, and a bit of stuff from work. I haven't posted anything to it in many years, and yet it has 100 more subscriptions than my channel that I've been working on and actively posting. I dont get why Im getting subs on it. I never post anything, I do nothing, and there is no decent content. Im telling you the public is more complicated than a woman.

I have a personal channel as well, I have a morocoo travel video and an alaska one on it. They are 4 and 6 years old, and still get a good number of views. Really destination travel videos are WAY more popular than motovlogs.

I have a couple of other channels, one is private with only work stuff on it, the other is my old channel, which never really took off. I think it has around 120 subs and doesn't seem to gain any or many views. If you used decent titles and descriptions in those early videos then people will still find them if searching

It is a sad occasion to stumble on a channel with content that interests you, only to discover it has not posted anything for few years. I don't think I have unsubscribed once, because of someone not posting. I have, when some channel radically changes its focus and posts too much of the stuff I don't care about, but the ones that might still post a good one, once every five years, remain in the list.

Just my opinion, but I think motovlogging is probably one of the hardest topics to be successful with on youtube. I've always pondered how some 14 year old can make videos doing nothing but playing video games and screaming a lot, racking in literally millions of subscribers who watch every episode. Another young girl will put up one video modelling a bikini and boom.. 11 million views. Even though there are literally a million cute young women doing the same thing. But motovlogging? A very narrow audience for sure and you need some distinct perks for it to have any success, such as extremely good looks with an interesting and vibrant personality. Charisma rules on Youtube!

As for my original channel and why it has brought in so many subscribers... a total mystery. But my guess is it has travel vids. I posted a series from my trip to Tobago 9 years ago. I bet people search up that, and subscribe hoping to see more. This could be why some motovloggers do well also, they travel. They go to exotic and dangerous but extremely scenic lands and share the adventure with the world. Most subs are just people who want to see the travel and dont even care about motorcycles!
