After scratching my head and spending hours looking at different cameras I decided to settle for a model I used to use but never owned from quite a few years back. Time to step up the bike pictures. Planning on picking up the 55mm-200mm lense up as well.

Nice, looking forward to some photos. FWIW, I found the 55-200 waaaay too soft for good results. I don’t think it was a bad copy because my brother had the same experience with his too. Hands down the best lens for that camera is the 35mm f/1.8

I'm looking forward to taking them. I'll have to look into that. Was it the standard Nikon lense you were using? Will take a look at the 35mm lense.

Agree with above just get the 35mm and forget the rest.

I have a bag full of lenses and most of the time the only one that gets used is the 35

Zoom lenses are always going to be softer, compared to fixed. But with good quality zoom lens, you can still make a lot of good pictures, with far less weight, to carry around. I'm seriously considering giving up my dslr, just because I use it so little. I'd rather buy a superzoom, for my next photo camera. Much easier, to take on travels. Much more chance, that I'll actually have a camera with me, to take pictures.

My favorite camera of all is my Fuji X100S. I’ll be sharing some Photos soon that I took at Euro Bike Night in my next motovlog.
