New Shoes

Thought I best give the KTM 390 Duke a little bit of clean and give the chain a bit of TLC after putting a new rear tyre on it, wasn't a full on clean, the engine needs a good wipe around still. Gonna go out and scrub the tyre in tomorrow. Still need to get it serviced, the annual service is due at the end of the month and I am just over mileage for it too. Unfortunately I am not sure on the bikes true mileage any more as the dealers didn't set the odometer to my old mileage when they replaced the dash which pisses me off a tad.

I think I got around 4500 miles which is 7242km, which is not great from a commuter bike point of view, or really a small cc bike POV, but I have ridden it with enthusiasm, and it has done thousands of km on motorways which is a tyre killer as it squares them off so badly. I think the M7 I have put on to replace the M5 is possibly more sporty than toury but I plan to do less motorways on this tyre now I have the Triumph.

I wonder how hard it is to program the odometer? Some bikes store the mileage in the ECU and will display the mileage after changing.

Man... I've been looking into these types of bikes. They seem super interesting and versatile, but money doesn't allow for it at the moment haha. Maybe later... when I get my Corvette as well (hopefully!)
