Ronin its called the gold coast because "gold member" from Austin powers is our mayor :p i honestly have no idea i hear a lot of gold coast advertisement say ''come to the gold coast and enjoy our golden sand"' don't look gold to me who knows maybe MrAus can shed light on this...

Yeah, I know Google is my friend ~_~ , but I'd hope to learn it from an actual Australian... not some goliath search engine :p ;) heh. You know, use social skills :p (as close as one can get sitting in front of a computer ;) )~.....
