This is my ZX9R :) Did a little bit of off-roading to get to this little river.

i just have a thing for the torquey 900 sports bikes this or a blade 929 or 954

I've never tried the old Blade but I don't think I'd like it more than the ZX9. The 9 looks awesome and that induction roar is something I never get bored of hearing :D

blade just has abit more torque and top end due to displacment advantage but ive only ever ridden the older zx9

What does the blade put out? Mine put out around 137bhp to rear wheel. Probably about 140bhp now as I've shimmed the carbs and altered the fuelling a little which has improved its responsiveness. (Maybe ~150bhp at the crank) It certainly goes :)

Just need valves checking/adjusting, carbs cleaned and synced to maybe squeeze out an extra couple of horses or at least get it running smoother. Then I was thinking of getting a jet kit for it for that little extra power :D

I belive the 954 was around 149bhp from new and ive seen a well set up one run 144 on a dyno but as we know diff dynos show different results

That must be crank numbers then. The ZX9 is suppose to be 142bhp from new but they would only put out about 130bhp on a dyno. Which actually seems similar to the dyno results of the 954 from a quick Google search so 144bhp on a well set up one sounds about right. Even some of the newer 1000s say they have around 180bhp when in fact it's more like 155bhp on a dyno. I've never gone off what the manufacturers state, only what people have achieved on dynos.

yeh its crank figures mate theres alsorts to account after a crank finger up to like 10% drive chain loss

I love them! Had a 2000 model E1 for a couple of years. Then swapped it for my current 2003 F2P model. Best bike I've ever owned and reluctant to sell it cause I can't find anything worth changing to. You should get one :D
I have the 2000 zx9r and I love it. Hope I can soon post pics then I will show it off some.
