I never had the problem of cagers until I passes my full test, now they seem to throw themselves at me from all angles.
that sucks :( .. also how long was it before you started lane splitting/filtering? :) sorry for the kind of jolt to a slight differnt subject but i always wandered how long it takes different people :) because everyone answers everyone is different but never tell me how long it was before they started lol :)

Theres nowhere round me to filter, I think after 8 or 9 months, but that was just the first time I hit traffic I could filter through.

ok fair enough lol thanks =D

Haha nice

i dont think i could ride a scooter personally but then again... never tried nor experienced it haha

just so i dont feel left out, i think it took me about 5-6months before i started filtering it depends how confident you are at riding through tight gaps without making contact and how busy the traffic actually is lol its different for everyone though in my opinion.

Certainly is a beast.

I was filtering less than a month after passing my cbt on my scooter.
Lots and lots of traffic in nottingham city centre which I used to drive through twice daily.

You do have to weigh up the benefit of filtering especially so on a 50 or 125.

Sitting in lines of traffic, normally worth it.

3 cars back from a red light... pretty much pointless.

You'll get away swiftly, then you end up with cars barging their way past you.

By the way... Stay out from the kerb, if a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing well. So if you're pissing people off by riding a 50cc scooter, better to really piss them off good and proper and ride nice and safe away from the kerb. Stops nobbers from squeezing you into the gutter.

Key with filtering, only do it when you feel comfortable, took me about a month until I did it solo, but I did it during training and on my test so it wasn't my first time either.

Btw your hog... Awesome :) gear up and ride!

Scooters are a riot!

Here are a couple examples of fun you can have on a scooter:

Don't let anyone EVER tell you a scooter is lame. They probably can't ride very well and still sleep with a teddy bear.
