Multiple Yt Channels

Evening all. Question for you.

I have a YT channel as most of you will know. That is connected to a pseudonym G+ account - Lurch OnABike.

I want to create another YT channel and monetise it, and monetise it to the same account as my vlog channel. Obviously to monetise you do need to tell Google a bit more about you, which I have done.

So what's the best way to go about this? I do have a genuine G+ account, can I attach other G+/Google and YT accounts to it and keep my privacy both ways? As in keep my identity out the public eye from both YT channels, and keep my video stuff separate from my everyday life? Cheers all.

I have several YT channels, my 2WheelManiac which i intent to keep strictly business, a tech talk channel and personal channel, I like to keep them all separate. and its been a pain to keep it all in line, but I like keeping everything separate, so I would recommend you take a look at a service called HootSuite, I use it to cut down on all the upkeep and posts to my different accounts, the free service works well and if you really want to go full speed they have a paid version as well, just don't do all the ale carte stuff that gets stupid expensive.

Google+ is separate from monetisation, as long as your legit details are on your AdSense account you won't have any problems.

@Rusty I'm not (yet) worried about management, it's just how to deal with Google's monetisation across channels/G+ profiles.

@SwissMotard So I can create a new G+ account and still link my Adsense account using the details from the LurchOnABike channel?

So is there a way of creating a channel but keeping my real name G+ separate, as in can I have a G+ page to go with the YT channel, piggy backed off my "real" G+/Google account without creating a whole new Google account?

OK, makes sense I think.

Done some Googling... These links are links off the preceding page. So I can bring it all back to "one place", and have a page to manage the channel. Next thing I need to work out is how to a) keep the Google account private from the G+ page and YT channel, and have it so any comments on each channel are replied to my the relevant G+ account, not me, the Google account holder. Make sense? I'm not quite in the mood to research it tonight, but I'd certainly appreciate any input on the matter and people's experiences.

Right, just need to check that the account is private to the page now! As in can you see the owner or managers of the page basically...

I've started this 'ere other channel, and enabled monetisation, but stuffed if I can find how to link the adsense, or find my monetisation code from lurchonabike...

So, on with the tidying up. Transferring ownership of a YT channel is relatively easy, a G+ page takes a little more patience. I've made me a manager of Lurch's page, but the email address associated with the Google account associated with my vlogging YT channel has TWO G+ pages and TWO YT channels. One set is inactive and one set are the ones you can see and get to simply by following my signature link and the G+ logo where my channel art should be on my page. I want to remove the unused G+account and YT account, but as they are very similarly named (difference being where the capital letters are), I need to be very careful that I don't delete the wrong thing.

I'm hoping that in transferring it all to the one Google account under one email address I can simplify and centralise things, just need to see if I can transfer the Adsense account from one email address to another. I so wish there was a means to call Google and get some help desk person on side to verify what they hell I'm trying to delete and to achieve!

Can't see that happening soon! Where does "big" begin anyway?

Looking at how it all works, seems like it's not worth migrating it all to one place, I can access all my YT accounts without having to log in and out all the time. Just be nice to remove the spurious unused lurch G+ page and YT channel. However, seems like the unused YT channel is default and can't be deleted. I can't find at all how to make the one I use as default, although it's the default account to use when I log in, if that makes sense. I'm just not going to riak losing everything I've got, it ain't a lot, but still... :)

I'm not sure, but when you grow enough YouTube get in touch with you giving you a personal email address to contact for support.

As per usual they keep the criteria secret.

I'm going to suggest thebthreshold is above 200 as they haven't mailed me since I passed 200... :)

It's a couple of thousand at least, but no one really seems to know.

It seems like they use a few variables, of which minutes watched per day may be the most important.

Aye, it will be the point at which they start to care about your revenue.

If you're a small channel (say sub 100k subscribers) they would rather just get rid of channels causing problems rather than assisting them.

I'm not so sure about getting rid of small channels. My 200 subs may not be a lot, but many channels my size add up for revenue, it's just the cost effectiveness of dealing with small fry and questions.
