Hello everyone,
You would be lying if you said that you've never in your life used Wikipedia. It's a brilliant participation system and even though the information it contains is sometimes at least partly incorrect, or biased, it is of great help from time to time.
Have you ever contributed to Wikipedia ? Probably not.
The motovlogging community has grown at an impressive rate for the past four or five years. Still, there is no mention of it on Wikipedia, no article, no information about this hobby.
Motovlogging is kind of brilliant because of the multiple things you can do with it :
- Tell interesting stories
- Share information with others about anything and everything, from one's way of life to information about the reproduction of ants 3000 feet below ground.
- Create mind blowingly good videos thanks to great editing and/or cinematography skills
etc..
All of this makes it worth telling people what motovlogging is all about.
I was wondering if you guys would like to enter a competition. Its goal would be to submit what will be a Wikipedia article.
The preview articles would be posted here (links to a website preferable, because articles with images and page layout are better), and the members of this forum would vote on the best article.
The member who gets the most votes also gets to put the article on Wikipedia, to inform the world of our great endeavours.
That is just a humble idea though. Any takers ?
