Motovlog Subjects?

So I didn't really did a motovlog before, but I watch a lot of them.
It looks real fun to do one myself once I get my microphone, but...
I'm wondering on where do they get there subjects to talk about from?
Do they just improvise or write a script? Or does the subject depends on what happends on the road?
And are there right & wrong subjects to talk about?
for example : talking about road rage is normal, and a lot talk about it. I guess that is a good subject.
But are there like forbidden subjects you shouldn't be talking about? Or is that all up to the vlogger him/herself?

Talk about whatever you want to talk about.

I used to try planning and scripting ahead of time, but I found that it sounded very monotone and you end up sitting there with dead spots because you're trying to remember what you wrote or thought of. So just talk about something you're interested in off the top of your head, or a life event/update that just occurred.

There are no topics off limits, it's about you, maybe you being the only one willing to talk about that topic will create a niche of subscribers just for your material? (I don't suggest you go around being pro-rape or anything though...) Some motovloggers literally only get views because they overly sarcastic and pretty much jerks to other people on the road.

I just babble on about what pops in my head, I might have a thought beforehand but usually I need to sift through a quagmire of shite to get something usable :)

Scripted or impromptu, whichever is more comfortable for you. Personally I don't script it, but just have a rough idea on the main point(s) and just make up stuff as you go along.

I don't script it, but I do have a topic to talk about: be it the thing happening (I'm going somewhere or to do something) or whatever I previously thought of.

You can also consider doing a video reply to another person's vlog. You might find you get ideas for topics from that.

I start off with a rough idea, then doing a quick vlog. Then i stop and re record it, sometimes 2-3 times.

Most of the time i chuck it all. But i feel the 2nd time i do it, i sound better and stutter alot less.

I wouldn't go through all that trouble to re-record, probably just be creative with the edits probably end up with a dub-smash rap. Heh. :)

bakerXderek gave some great advice to a few of us in a hangout.
- Review everything you buy for your bike
- Ride your friends bike and review it
- Video replies to other vloggers

Eurgh, I hate the "review" channels. There was a Portuguese motovlogger I love watched until he started grinding out the reviews.

I started off with planned topics, then I started just talking about whatever was on my mind, now I basically make "ride along" vids. Go out for the day, comment on what I am doing and seeing and edit it out, like a diary of sorts, or a journal if you want to sound manlier. Just make videos that you enjoy, if you like your content, chances are someone else will too :)

You'd probably corner a niche market if you talked about your fantasies over your sister. Not sure the market would be a very big niche though.

In relaity, just put the microphone in your helmet, forget it's there, and then your voice comes through every time you say something. Whether it's a cuss at what someone did to you, or a snigger at what you see, and then you have an immediate opportunity to explain exactly what happened and what you saw. It gets you used to talking.

If a topic you are interested in comes into your mind while riding, just start babbling away. Don't try and make it perfect, you can always edit out any issues you don't like later, and once you have done it and rendered and watched it back, you can choose whether to upload it to youtube or not.

But if you just procrastinate, you will never start. A journey starts with a small step.

I write all of my stuff on the inside of my helmet with a dry erase maker and just read it as I go down the road. By a few visors and pull over and swap them out. Hope this helps ;-)
