Motovlog Milestone: The 100 Subs Club!

So I've just hit 100 subs (yay me ), and I thought this might be a nice thread for others to share their progress towards their first milestone.

So, how close are you to 100 subs? How difficult are you finding progress? Are there any other bits of advice you can share with your fellow sub-100 vloggers for those who have made it?

From my point of view, I just try to make the best videos I can and really get stuck in with the other vloggers I enjoy watching. It helps that a lot of you are awesome so getting involved in your content is easy for me to do

Congrats Dude, I'm at 16 subs and have been at it for 7 weeks now, 100 seems like a long way off haha But I have been having great fun doing it and learning about it and the process of building my channel has already taught me a few things and I think that's what i'm growing to love about it!

I'm just trying to enjoy the ride atm!

nice man, I just hit 10 subs the other day. Sadly I've been busy and can only put opinion vlogs right now. I'm planing on posting a close call i had soon and some meet ups videos in the future.

What kind of videos have you notice that get peoples attention?

My most popular videos are my weirdest ones, typically accidents or ones with particularly good thumbnails.

That's in terms of views though, which is completely irrelevant to Google and their search algorithms. Keep an eye of the "minutes watched" of your videos and make more along the lines of your more popular videos. People watch my scenery videos for a lot longer, an average of 6-8 minutes compared to 30 seconds for my "beach bar" video with the catchy thumbnail. These are my core videos so it's good that they're the most popular

I posted my vids almost everywhere i could. Eventually it just happened.

Took me around a year to do.. since then i have gotten like 60 in 3 months. so apparently its easier?

The more subs you have, the more interaction you have, the more it's exposed to friends if your subs, eg likes posted to Twitter and videos appearing on the right under suggested video. As your exposure increases, so does your chance of gaining subs.

I've said once I hit 500 subs that I would stop hiding my number - kind of like a reward to myself for getting 500 people to give a shit enough to watch my shit.
