Anyone recommend a fairly good one?
Im using a sony esm3 at the moment and its good but i cant afford another for the price.
I dont want a £2.00 cheap shit microphone but if you guys are using one that you think is worth a shout post it below!

I just ordered another one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EOZUKQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

My first one lasted a year, but me constantly screwing with my setup and 100mph winds finally did it in.

Last week I bought a "Giant Squid" lav mic which cost 4 times as much but it's on its way back to Amazon as we speak. Couldn't hold up to any amount of wind noise and would overload and clip out. Sometimes pricier isn't better.
ill look in to that mate it looks like a great mic whats the length like?

More than enough. I had to roll up the cord and twist tie it, and keep it under my cheek pad. IIRC It also comes with a 3.5mm-2.5mm adapter.

Do you mount that inside your helmet?

Cheap mics work great with the GoPro's, no need to spend above a fiver.

They auto level the audio so most mics work fine.

I use a BOYA mic that plugs directly to the sub socket on the gopro. But it takes quite a lot of wind noise :( How to make those dead cat mic cover?

Cut up an old (clean) sock and zip tie it around the mic. You need to block out the wind but a full on fuzzy dead cat is not ideal in a helmet.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to find my niece old fluffy doll as well to cut off and make a dead cat
