2nd picture it was so cold out my lens started building up condensation causing halos. I was shooting my 5DmkII, Canon 10mm Fisheye, F2.8, 30 sec exposure, ISO3200What's the blue dots on the second picture? Just over exposure of the brighter stars?
What was your shutter speed on this by the way?
I bet, my dad has a nice mount for shots like that, its motorized and you just enter in the coordinates and it will track as the earth spins to keep it centered.Awesome.
A guy on a fish forum I'm on posted a photo he'd taken over about 12 hours of a nebula. Incredible tracking the sky like that and piecing it together to get the real low light details.
haha heck yeah! I like it!I think he had to do it by hand... He uses an ironing board as his desk out in the field! haha!
