i think thats only the hero. but am sure the hero 3 takes 64. i seen a few videos but no one said anything about the bigger card

3+ can take a 64, I'd double check before you buy. GoPro recommend Sandisk and Lexar for their cameras, although @WestEnd was having issues with his GoPro not recognising his Lexar all of a sudden. Hopefully he'll spot the tag and pop in and let us know if it is the camera acting up or the card is a bit poo.

My Lexar has played up a couple of times, but seems to have settled down now. I would recommend Sandisk Extreme though. I would have bought one myself if the prices weren't so ridiculous.

Running a Class 10 64gb SanDisk SDXC card, good for running a high bit rate on the Ghost S as it has a decent write speed on it (forgot the actual figure, was going to post it but meh nevermind)

I would take that approach too but having to switch memory cards mid way through a long ride would be irritating. I've filled up to 37gb on one ride before. Rather turn it on and forget about it than have to wonder whether I've actually saved any of the stuff I "recorded" :D

Really? HD Ghost at 1080/30 will write 5 hours to a 32gb card, battery made it max 3.5 hours.

That's 3 hoursish of footage. Lucky to get that off a battery at 60fps! Most get 2.5, altough I comfortably got it today, only changed batteries as I knew ot wouldn't be likely to hit another hour!

I use 32gb cards, never run out of battery as I use a drift powerpack. I will run out of cards before I run out of power.
