Man Pains

KTM RC390 + ATGATT
Off late my jewels have started to hurt when I ride my KTM RC390. The funny thing is though, it doesn't hurt when I go on rides. Hurts only when I'm riding around in the city, usually with my office laptop bag.

Has anyone else faced issues like this when they ride?

Would happen all the time when I used to go kayaking. Stretching helped.

I'm honestly worried if it's my riding position. I don't face the same pain when I ride naked.

I don't think it's the pants because I've faced that pain in both jeans and formal pants.

Not going to question why you don't where clothes when you ride :p

As long as your back is straight, wrists aren't bent, and arms aren't in locked position, then you should be golden in terms of riding position. How heavy is your laptop bag?

Sorry. Meant A naked. :D

I've got those points in terms of riding position covered. The RC390 being a track bike, I have to lean forward and ride unlike a naked.

Moderately heavy? The weight of an office laptop, charger, bottle of water, and random stuff.

if i ride longer then 30 mins my butt hurts like hell. but thats because its a narrow dirtbike style seat and i don't wanna pay $400 for a seat right now. id rather buy go fast parts.

Try standing up on the pegs every so often. I did a ~500 mile enduro last year on my Aprilia RXV (worst seat in the world)-- it was not pleasant after about 300 miles, but standing up a bunch helps quite a bit.

i stand up as much as i can but they will give you a wheelie ticket just for standing up here. i know a couple people who got one because the state trooper said they were about to do a wheelie. i slide from one side to the other when it gets really bad. I've road a sxv for a while and it wasn't as bad not sure if its the same seat. its a little wider.

Use your knees to grip the tank sides, keep your balls away from the tank. It's easier to forget that during commute ride because you are filtering through traffic and such.

The RC390 is a sport riding position, so you need to use the sportbike riding position techniques. Your upper body weight tend to be forward and with a backpack that's more added weight, all of it goes straight to your butt/balls if you don't use your knees/thigh to grip the tank and provide support.

My nards only hurt if I hit an unexpected pot hole or speed bump. I've had my butt or my back ache a bit after a long ride or my clutch hand will get tired after a lot of city driving. I ride a superbike with a lot of torque so there's a lot of clutch work at low speed.

Hmm I expected discomfort but I didn't think I'd be in pain eventually. So far so good. I probably need to ride longer amounts to feel "man pains"

I wear underwear on long rides that are kind of like bicycle shorts. They keep my junk in place and not bouncing around. I have found out in the past that was causing some pain on longer rides.

It's the noise of the bike that does it.
When your commuting your reving and changing gears more, thus making more cool noises. Therefore your package will increase in size. Only solution is a dint in the tank to accomodate the package.

Careful suggesting tank dents for your stuff...a great majority of bikes IV seen at insurance auctions that hit something head on...well, they have "junk" dents. One of my buddies lost one of his, ummm...."boys" when a car pulled out in front of him. Hence, you should always wear your new Bell little helmet while riding

When I crashed I slided over my tank and had purple nuts for a month, I couldn't pee without it hurting for over a week.

I've been getting some discomfort from my jeans bunching up recently. Still haven't figured out the best way to take care of it.

Check out Deluth Trading company, they have some great pants and underwear. Expensive, but if your having issues it will help.

Yeah, the jewels take a beating at low speeds on my zx6r.
