General Lightning in a Bottle? (Big "hit" video for my channel)

OK, so first some background: I owned a 2016 Vaquero, currently own a 2019 Street Glide Special.

This morning, I had an idea to create a video where I explain the pros and cons of each, from my point of view. It was cold & windy today, and my Harley, coincidentally, is in the shop for service. So, it wasn't going to be a vlog.

I've seen some do voiceovers over their riding videos, and I thought it would give me a chance to do multiple takes, get good, clean audio without much hassle, and do some semi-fancy video editing tricks (picture-in-picture, etc.) ... so I fleshed out the idea over lunch, filmed it after work in about 20 mins, and spent a few hours editing and adding pics and overlays and stuff.

In the first 45 mins after posting it to YT, I had 0 views. I posted it to a Kawasaki Vulcan group on Facebook, and OMG - it blew up! (well, blew up for me ...) with so far, 90-some views!

Guess I ought to capture that lightning in a bottle, huh?

I was shocked. By the end of the day, my video had over 130 views, and the blog post had over 225.

This morning, as of right now, there are 240 views and 394 post views. My site has 174 pageviews just today... which is over double what a normal day does LOL.

I'm cackling and giggling over here, in case you couldn't tell!

I also picked up 3 new subs ... at least one of which is from THIS site, but the others, I don't know where they came from - yay!

Interesting to see some features of a couple bikes that I’d have never considered before. I bet they’re an experience to ride! I’ve also hit sub to catch up again later!

Still, to this day, this video is my #1 most popular, with over 9,000 views. You can tell when someone finds it and shares it, because it'll go from around 110 views per 48 hrs to 180 or so.

Too bad it wasn't twice as long, that'd be some serious watch hours ;)
