Whats the go?

I heard he crashed BAD, but was told he is ok.

I hear TALK uploaded a video, now removed it?

anyone see what happened?

i know it was from a truck. im curious to watch the footage.
 
He was going down the road talking about steaks and a semi truck turned right and into his lane. He couldnt stop in time and hit it head on pretty much at speed.

The camera detached from his helmet from the impact and flew down the road. It landed and was pointed back at him still running. A bunch of people ran over to him. I thought I could see him trying to get up and moving around but when everyone got to him they got him to lay back down it looked like.

Im hoping he is alright. That hard a hit though...probably wont be ride ready for a while. :(

ok,

i do not understand why he would have deleted the footage then. it makes no sense.

He probably got tired of people telling him what he should have done differently. That's why I took down the photos of my wreck. No one ever seems to realize that telling someone how to ride while they're recovering from a wreck is pretty irritating.

Really was an horrific accident to watch and has made me feel funny for days after watching it.

Hopefully, he'son the mend now and I've IM'd him a few times with my regards ;)
 
I heard from one of his friends that I was taken down due to a forum posting it somewhere, not sure where. They then proceeded to tell him over and over and over how he did every single thing wrong. Thats why its been re-uploaded with annotations.
 
If he'd found a way to avoid that I'd wanted him tested ... no human could have done anything to avoid that! Short of being psychic or a cyborg he was always going to hit that lorry!

Yeah nothing he could have done in that situation you just freeze and all you can do is hold the brake even though know you shouldn't i've been there myself.
 
Christ, Hope he is ok... This would have to be one of the first threads on here I go into... :(
 
Oh god!

My throat went dry and my heart skipped a beat.

When I crashed it was a similar speed, if not a little bit more.
I can unfortunately say it is one of the most horrific things to feel.

I really hope things turn out okay - And once he's all better, I hope he'll consider biking again in the future!

Hearts over the forums go out to the guy.

Evening all.

Thanks for all your kind words. Really nice to know you lot exist. I'm healing up well; bruising's come out a bit more and I'm walking around a lot easier as well.

I knew that when I uploaded the video, I'd get some a few people suddenly graduating from law school but it infuriates me as to how MUCH they don't consider my perspective. Again and again, they use hindsight and ONE piece of video to tell me that if I did this or that, then I would have avoided it all. I shouldn't let it get to me as I know for sure I did as much as I could but when it's constantly repeated, it messes me up even more.

Anyway, onwards and upwards as they. News has come through that I might be getting a Kwaka Z750 as a hire bike. Interesting move hire company. GAME ON!

I lost a handful of "friends" after my wreck. It's almost impossible to ignore the assholes that come out of the woodwork like that.

Glad to hear you are on the mend! The original video was posted over on the 675net forum (don't recall who posted it) and you got everyone's sympathy. Hope you get a nice new bike out of the deal, keep us posted.
