1st off, BIG grats on your 1st anniversary on the YouTubes, It is A-lot of fun but so many start for the wrong reasons and then fade out after a few uploads.
THEN to the chat...
I am by NO means an expert and I have found myself asking the same questions over and over again, just like you.
Why do folks subscribe?, in my case mostly "why do I get more subs when I have not uploaded in a few weeks?"
Why do my sub count and my view counter never even come close to matching?
Why is it that a Randomly caught accident video gets over 300k views, but something I pour my heart, soul, imagination and 20 hours of my life into barely makes 100?
Why can I never get the same quality video out of my Go-Pro that the other guys do?
What is going to get me more subs, and more views?
"Schadenfreude" Human beings are innately morbidly interested in others misfortune. I myself have made a point to stay away from crash video's and road rage footage, But that is what the folks want to see, Sex & Violence will always sell...sadly....
I have gone through so many sound setups and attempts to get "THE" perfect sound setup, to the point where I actually considered just doing voice overs on the videos rather. No matter which helmet I buy, not matter which mic I use there is always too much wind noise, or too much sniffing or most annoying to me about my own videos, the "uhm", "ah's" and "like"s, as though I was some sort of millennial with no ability to formulate a complete sentence.
That being said I have seen some stupid children making videos that break the million views mark each time....(head shake)....
I am not a stunt rider and I can't wheelie to save my life, I do not ride a super sport or motard, I do not have sexy woman coming up to me and waving at me from their car windows. I TRY not to click bait so after all the years I have been on YT, I have but 550 subs. fortunately, as like you I do it for myself and the few folks that have supported me and the friends I have met.
A great video, sorry it got me rambling on like Grand pappie on a rampage, but I related to this video.
Cheers mate
