Impressions way down?

Not sure if this is maybe a seasonal thing as nice weather hits, so I thought I would check with the people here, since i am still in my first year of doing this.

The last 3-4 weeks, my impressions on youtube are WAY down, -57% in the last 28 days compared to the previous 28 days. I'm trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong with my tags and descriptions causing my vids to not get displayed, or if maybe this is a slowdown all over youtube this time of year as people start getting out and aren't online watching stuff as much.

Anyone else see a trend like this over the last few weeks?

That's harsh man! My impressions are down 18% ... as are most of my stats, except subs. My views are down like 2k month over month.

Currently there is a little dip in percentage, but the views from impressions is not much different for me. Are your views from them the same as they were though? What may be happening is that your views from subs and external may have gone up which makes it look like the impressions are going down in percentage?

I thought impressions were impressions, YouTube showing your content to viewers? If that's the case, then I don't understand why the impression count would change so much in a month?

No idea, I thought it was where it is a suggested video etc. TBH, I don't really understand a lot of the analytics, just if I get green arrows it is good!

Ya, my views aren't so bad, but that is the subs watching. Impressions are anytime a thumbnail is shown on youtube, it can be a sub looking at the subscription feed, a search or a suggestion. I just thought it was odd to see such a huge drop in youtube showing my stuff, but I could see if traffic is down because the weather is good, impressions would go way down. But I have no year-over-year data to compare this to.

My Impressions are down 5% and my views are down 2% for the month. The weather is getting good again and Covid restrictions are easing up, so I think a little less YouTube watching is to be expected.

Actually, I'm good across the board - 8% increase in Click-Through and 13% Increase in Views.

My analytics aren't big numbers but I'm just happy to be seeing some kind of growth. There was a time when I thought I'd publish 200 videos before I hit 200 Subscribers.

I remember when I was ecstatic to hit 50 subscribers. Felt like I achieved a miracle!

That is me now. I just passed 50. But I'm not doing myself any favors by only doing a vid every 2 weeks, and I refuse to do reviews or how to vids, I want mine all to be scenic travel style motovlogs.

I can totally relate to that - I know what I want my channel to be and I'm doing my best to stay the course (even if it isn't doing my channel any favors).

I think everyone is out riding due to the weather being nice. Things are open more in the states and we have more freedom. I have noticed a trend myself.

Y'all are over there limiting yourself to vlogs and scenic rides... I'm gonna soak up all your extra subs! I do it all, man, from how-tos, to ride videos, to vlogs, to Resolve tutorials, unboxings, reviews, setups, testing...

I know EXACTLY what my channel is about - EVERYTHING ... and it's got as many different directions as my mind goes on when I ride, HAHA.

Thanks man. I do have it pretty lucky to have some much awesome motorcycle riding around here. I think I'm on the right track, I get a lot of good feedback from other motovloggers, it just trying to get my videos noticed by new people. That is why I look at things like impression.
