Hi everybody!

I admit I have envy about you all uploading vids making wheelies, stoppies, speeding, and almos making the whole world burn.

Here in Spain, if you upload a video doing such things, even moving traffic filtering you are in risk of recieving a penalty fee by mail, because cops look out for those kind of videos.

Don't you have any problems uploading that stuff? I actually had to eliminate some good videos just because i was speeding 20kmh above the limit.

I don't hold back on showing my illegally fast moped, out of principle. As it's dangerous to go only 45kph on them. They can't positively identify me in the videos.
I don't support hooning such as wheelies and stoppies, its plain illegal. But I don't think it deserves a ticket in the mail either, its not a strong evidence without showing plates.

Calling it out as oppression and dictature is going a bit far tho. That's a very different level of population control than dishing out tickets based on assumed identity and documented crimes.

I go for the more tamed things, as in my country they could potentially build a case against you with incriminating evidence you've uploaded... But they'll have to figure out its you first.

Like Sprock said, you are liable in our country... if they can prove it is you. This just means you either remove the incriminating material, or the proof that you were the one who was doing it!

Yeah, not being funny but if they take our hardrives they'll no doubt find the raw videos, the edit files and the rendered! Let alone history/saved logins etc for YT.. I tend the blur out the speedo if it's anything more than 2mph above but I'll still get royally fooked.

In the US there is something called "statute of limitations." This means that after a certain period of time evidence of certain crimes can't be held against you. For traffic offenses, the major ones, I think it's 7 months.

So, if they can't prove it was you on the video and it was within 7 months, they can't do anything.

There are some instances, like speed cameras, where you will get a ticket in the mail.

But honestly, I haven't seen cops here really look into random YouTube people and try to identify and ticket them without it being related to bigger crimes. If the person is causing lots of trouble and there are citizen complaints, they might make an example, but I haven't seen that happen.

The police here in Belgium doesn't give a crap about traffic violations, unless it's speeding, but they can't do anything because they don't have my license plate/proof that I was on the bike.
They don't even have a big enough budget to put some officers to work to patrol around on the internet, so we are free to do anything without getting ticketed.
I once rode 156 where you may only ride 90, but there were not speed traps. I also did censor my speedometer to not get caught speeding

I was a little worried till I read this. I do allot of stuff that isn't really legal in almost every video lmao

@Majes, I am surprised that they can send ticket just by looking at the video. The speedo reading cant be treated as evidence because firstly, it is known to be optimistic and usually shows 10% more speed than actual and secondly, one can argue that he rigged his speedo to show more speed so it cant be evidence. Also, if you dont have your plates on any of the video, how can they even identify you?
The simplest solution is to blur the speedo and as for wheelies, stoppies etc I dont understand why people do it on public roads! Gives such a bad/reckless image about bikers. You can go to an empty parking lot or something and do it to your hearts content!

I didn't have any luck with mine :/

I just realized, it works only when viewing angles are different. So if GoPro captures same as what you are seeing (I use chin mount so it is pretty much the same), then yes, it will capture the speedo. If GoPro is mounted on the tank/handlebars/chest then it should work as expected. Maybe you could try this once.

Yeah that's the problem unfortunately, I like my camera angle and it took a lot of playing about to get it there

Cops know you don't strap a 100hp machine in between your legs without opening it up. I do it routinely in my vlogs but do keep it sane around other traffic. When I am alone or everything is clear I have my fun. I can get up there during my car reviews as well. I never heard anything, and even if I were they'll never be able to say I was driving recklessly. I speed when I can speed, not because I want to.

Because it's fun as fuck and I like to live my life having fun not wishing I had fun.

Lol, personally, I'd much rather have less fun on the road, than have no fun sitting in a cell.

But we're in different places with different cultures.

They won't put you in jail for wheelies here. I live in a small enough town in the middle of no where I can do it most places and never see a cop.

I've not seen a traffic cop in months either, only get the odd sighting here and there every once in a while for a few seconds. They're like the bigfoots of modern society.

Not that they need to be around anyway nowadays, considering we've got traffic cameras every few hundred meters.

Machines are cold hard bitches. You can negotiate and parley with a living breathing cop, but you can't with a machine and an administrator sitting in an office kilometers away.
