I used AI to make a theme song for my channel!

Anyone mess around with any of those AI music generation tools?

I've been messing with Udio lately, its fairly new and still in Beta even, but I managed to make myself a couple of Moto Mengy theme songs for my channel, and I have to say I'm right impressed with this stuff!

Here is my favorite one so far, just one example of what you can do with these things:

I have to believe tools like this could compete with the likes of Epidemic Sound, which I use on my own channel for music. If I can just make my own custom music on the fly with very little effort, and unique original copyright free music at that, then woah.

That website is being flagged as risky by my anti-virus mate. If you could maybe put the music onto an unlisted video or something and share it via YouTube onto here, that'd be great. I've removed your link as I don't want any members to get any viruses etc on their computers, soz.

That's bizarre, my anti-virus doesn't complain at all about it, and I've been using it daily for over a week now as have thousands of others.

My Sunday motovlog has the song in it, I'll post that here once it goes live.

I'll be looking for your Sunday video, @Moto Mengy - this could be the 1 use of AI I find appealing in regards to my channel. Finding the right music is exhausting.

Okay I can't edit my post above but I learned that Udio can output little stylized videos of user created songs, so I uploaded an unlisted vid to my Youtube channel instead of linking to Udio directly, here's the song:

I think its pretty amazing honestly, and I think I'm going to use this new theme song on my channel now and then!

Is Udio free? Or, one of those "X number of prompts per day/week/month" things?

FWIW, my anti-virus also flags it as "risky", so I can't get that info. for myself.

Udio is free for now while its in beta with like 600 song generations per month limit, but I'm almost certain they'll charge a subscription for this eventually. Honestly if its like $10 per month I'd sub to this and drop Epidemic, being able to create custom music would be useful.

No, the AI wrote the lyrics, when I made this one I didn't know you could enter your own lyrics. I did enter a description of my channel and my name and such for the generation prompt. I have to think it searched the web to get the terms road spotlight and scenic spin? Maybe from my YouTube playlists, not sure.

And yeah it ends suddenly, I tried to generate a good outro which faded but eventually I gave up and just kept the one I liked the best. I faded it in my motovlog for Sunday so it didn't end so abruptly, lol.

I played around with it a little bit. It can create its own lyrics too. Sometimes they even make sense.
Quite fun AI, I must admit. Final product is not always as polished, as in the example linked above, but quite amusing non the less. I see a great potential in winning cheap popularity with the opposite sex, among other applications.

I'll maybe give it a go to see how I get on, the antivirus warning is a concern, but I can use a standalone PC to get it.

I would use it to make it create a 21m12s long epic wizards & dragons and distressed damsels ProgRock motovlog concept song done as if Rush, Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer had a threesome in odd time signatures and then birthed a musical wonder baby, and then use the full song as the intro song to all my videos.

My initial problem with it is having to link my google, discord, or twitter account to it, with no option for another log in as far as I can see, which strikes me as a data harvesting tool and I'm not keen on them.
