How The best vlogs and Videos Works

It has come to light that a few members are posting their own videos in here.

Videos in here get promoted from the Watch MotoVlogs section, and can only be moved here by admin or moderators. Anyone caught posting in here will have the videos removed without warning, and persistent offenders will have their bottoms properly smacked!

Promoted videos are now alerted to all members who log into the site.

They'll also be shown alongside new posts like the other well, posts (unlike post your videos)

Promoted videos are also included into the menu bar so they get more coverage etc


You are more than welcome to tag me or lurch into a post, or message if you feel that a video is a step up from the rest. Please note, just because you picked it, doesn't mean we will promote it. We try to stick to one or two a week

So far we've promoted everything from wheelie videos, charity and all sorts... It just needs to stand out, not be amazing

I was about to ask for a limit if they're in the new posts feed, but 1-2 per week is perfect.

I think 1 a week is alright, 2 is the get out clause for the odd stand out video that pops up

I think the alert function is the least intrusive way of letting people know, without spamming emails but helping people get something out of the site i.e views blah blah

Are vloggers narcissistic?! Promoting one's own video? If it's that good people will like, view and comment. That's the best way to get it promoted

Promoted has now been changed to ‘the best vlogs and videos’

Mainly for google reasons and makes more sense
