Hi all!

My name is Daniel from north NL. I've only recently started getting into the vlogging stuff. been doing it for a while but only just now (after almost 50 vids) just got the video and sound just how i want it. I use a Sony fdr x3000v and a rode external mic for recording the vlogs.

Right now busy showing my home province of Fryslân, but my conquest of the world will start soon :)

And who are you?

An old R1100GS from 1995. People tend to think only old nuts well over their 50's ride GSes, I drive it because it really is a great motorcycle.

Either that or i'm already well on my way to becoming an old fart at 25 ;)

Welcome man. Nice to see the older bikes still going

You bet! Ive done tons of stuff with this old animal. Xenon HID lights (well adjusted too, no dazzling the other side) led blinkers and upgraded the injectors effectively turning it into a 1200gs with 1100cc

Have been considering buying a newer one, but my 1100 just gives me too much fun.

Bought it september 2016. Was love at first sight. Didnt even try to haggle.

Most reliable machine i ever saw. With 25.000km a year it has never broken down on me.

Can't say the same for my (almost) reliable honda pc32

Well. I upgraded the headlight from halogen to a proper and well built HID xenon. Had it checked at a dutch MOT(apk) station. And everything was well.

Changed the blinkers from traditional bulbs to led ones because the traditional holders were taped together and were falling apart. (As seen on my avatar where the right light droops down)

I exchanged the fuel tank from the plastic one to a steel version and did a bad job of trying to paint it red(will retry this summer).

Fitted piaa spotlights for extra vision in the dark.

Injectors are upgraded to the models used in the newest r1200gs, which is an enormous upgrade to performance and overall smoothness of the engine without making it use more fuel.

Dashboard backlighting changed to full white leds.

Do all the maintenance myself too with the help of the haynes manual.

Thats about it.

Ride about everyday including winter and nighttime. Living in a rural area with not alot of streetlighting so having the extra lighting helps alot.

Wanted proper aux lights too, not the cheap chinese rubbish. Which leaves only two reasonable choices: hella and piaa. :p
