So i got this email the other day from a big YouTube channel offering partnership with them. I'm not entirely sure what to make of it as it seems like it was a bot that found the key word "DNA Air filter" which is associated racing and auto sent the email. I could be wrong though.

E mail below.

DearDark Rider,

I spotted your YouTube channel and love the motorsportvideos that you’re making. I particularly enjoyed theDNA Air filter install on a Suzuki GSR 600video; it’s awesome!

I haven't replied yet, want to know what you guys make of it.

I get plenty of these from Networks. Usually I just ignore/decline them. To be honest I don't know how they really function, maybe someone else can explain. But since I am not interested, I just ignore/decline them. If you are interested to join, be careful though, check the T&C properly.

I have heard some sketchy things about these networks, and judging by the wording of that email I would be careful

I've got a couple of them in my inbox. Networks tend to offer a higher RPM due to having a larger audience but they are taking all your revenue from YouTube after YouTube takes theirs and then give you a cut again, not helpful for small guys, all they are doing is taking the very little amount we make for all our hard work. It could boost your videos, but most unlikely, they propose it, but those that I know have done it didn't get anywhere and by the time you actually get your revenue from them from the 3 Month trial, its actually after the 3 month trial, so you cant truly test them out without getting stuck in contract, had a mate try and cancel from the 1st month and was ignored until the trial ended then they told him it was too late that its outside the trial period and is now stuck for 12 months.
The recruiters can be anybody, any of us can go and sign up to be a recruiter, so you aren't getting an employee from their company talking like they are a scout and think your a gold mine. They just try and get as many people as possible so they can get affiliate earnings.
Be weary of them and be sure to check out reviews. There's heaps out there, the only ones defending them that I found were recruiters.

The networks that offer nothing specific to your genre are useless.

I'd only consider a long term partnership if the network offered extras like contacts with bike/equipment manufacturers for review samples, entry to biking events, collaborations with similar channels etc.

These channels do exist but they're very rare and most are in it for a quick buck with no benefits for you.
