Gopro Hero 4 Vs Contour +2

Im using the contour +2 at the moment and im considering switching to the go pro but dont want to go spend that much money if its not that popular, just looking for some opinions.

Dont know a thing about the contours but I'm running the 4 silver, battery life sux but everything else is good, I'm happy with it and super easy with the lcd to make on the fly changes to the settings, just be prepared to fork out a few extra dollars for more batteries I've got two but i feel the need for a couple more as they only go for an hour and a bit...and if you go 4 black its the same deal just with no lcd and you just get a better 4k resolution but i find most people are not ready for 4k yet and you need a fkn monster computer to edit with it that's why i didn't bother with the black yet.

Just use a video proxy and 4k is the same to edit as a 480p file. It's video editing 101.

I used to have a GoPro, and the one thing I didn't like about it was the way it mounted, as it sticks out quite a way from either the side or top of your helmet. I found this weighs it down a little bit, and makes you tilt your head half the time (if on the side.) I now use a Drift Ghost, which is awesome, and the customer service is incredible!
