To begin, the bike passed the Harley-Davidson certified pre-owned inspection. It has that one year warranty and a 5 year extended warranty.

The right side muffler was blueing so I got a new muffler take off. While doing the swap I found this...

I have an appointment in a couple of days with the dealer to go over the problem

Yep. Talk about a great way to viid a warranty! But since it was like that when I bought it, the appointment tomorrow should fix it.

On a related note a HUGE motovlogger for repairs answered an email I sent them with the pic. I had emailed them on a whim and before I studied the footage more.

He had shared his email for questions in a video of his so I did not need to black it out here.

Tomorrow should be a good afternoon at the dealer.

Also shootout to my pal @LoneWolfer for saying the same thing as you guys. So now three sets of eyeballs have all agreed.

The whole power gain on the headers for the Milwaukee 8 114ci engine is a myth given how short on fat the cat material is.

The sound is 81-82 db at idle taken 45° from the rear of the bike at 4' away.

For comparison my TC103 has its cat, stage 1 intake, and Street Cannons exhaust with over 50k miles on this set of mufflers. The sound is 82-83 db taken in the same manner.

Here is the kicker though. The myth about heat being less. I ran both bikes just long enough to get a sound measurement and the M8 is still clicking from heat long after the 103 which was tested 2nd.

Thanks everyone!

I got some great comments on the Short. The dealership just happened to have a take off header from a bike with just 7 miles on it. They do a lot of hot rod mods at this dealer. I just had to pay labor since it is a warranty item. They swore up and down that Harley-Davidson's warranty was not effected by the other header but I still wanted the cat back correctly.

I will be putting out a video soon as a supplement to a review video.
