Facebook Sweep Of Fake Names

Site owner, lovely and adorable
it looks like Facebook are doing another sweep of fake names that are using personal profiles, not set up as a page.

So, if you're using your vlogging name on Facebook, and set up as a personal account, you may get banned unless you can prove its your real name.

Be warned :)

They're doing to this to get people to create pages, because they can offer to "boost" your post (read: advertise) for a small sum of virgin blood (read: money), but you don't have to if you don't want to.

That's what I think anyway.

Problem is Facebook Pages are shit, kinda given up on Facebook now a days it seems to be going backwards in the social media scale, tweeter is way more fun and entertaining.

Facebook has gotten more cumbersome to use, especially on mobile. Android and IOS have removed the "news feed" from the pages app and I do most of my posting as a page. They also bury my original posts (such as YouTube vids) to try and force me to pay them to "boost" the post. I do get some traffic from FB on my videos, because I can still tag a bunch of people in the comments, but once my channel starts generating enough traffic on its own, I'm probably going to phase out FB.

I have a FB page but the only posts are reposts from my Twitter and Instagram. To be honest facebook seems quite dead as a motovlogging medium. I have 2 likes on FB after about 6 weeks. I had more than that within the first hour on Twitter and IG

Ages ago. Told me I wasn't a real boy...

They deactivated the account, and I could log in only to download the data, and then I could convert to a page. I didn't bother though. I'm guessing a page needs attaching to a bona fide account?

You can join as a page on its own.
