Facebook Profile or Facebook Page?

I've noticed a lot of motovloggers have Facebook account linked to their Youtube channel in order to stay connected to their viewers between videos. Do most of you have Facebook profiles or Facebook pages and why did you choose one over the other? I set up a page but it seems very limiting. I like to think of my viewers (especially the ones that comment on a regular basis) as friends but a Facebook page doesn't allow you to maintain a friends list. Is there any good reason to chose a page over a regular profile?

Am I right in saying that you won't put the personal details, photos, etc. on this profile as you would on your very own? Therein lies the problem some people have, myself included.

By adding someone as a friend you open up your own personal profile to someone off YouTube which isn't something everyone would like to do. When you 'like' something, the most that can be associated is your name and whatever else you have public.

In other words, get Twitter!

I prefer a page, unless I want to connect with someone on a more personal level, then I will shoot them a friend request with my personal account. One of the things that really bothers me are people with YouTube Facebook Profiles that seem to want to know more about your personal information, and then don't even give the courtesy of even sharing their name or even face. I have denied many friend requests from people on their YouTube Facebook accounts because I would just be allowing them to know more about my personal life while I learn nothing more about who they are as a person. You give some and then you get some. It's not fair to just receive and not give.
