Exo 500 Helmet

So I found this helmet on sale for like 65 bux, not bad at all.
But it hasnt even been on a dozen rides yet and the clear face shield is already scratched.
Never been dropped and I have only cleaned it with plain ol water and a micro fiber cloth. What gives?
I put in a question with customer service and I will see what their reply it.
Just a little frustrated is all.

Worth getting a replacement visor with pinlock. Not sure what caused the scratching but it could be that the helmet was cheap due to age.

I called and they said probably the age. They asked what I use to clean, Microfiber and water, they said get a non-abrasive terry cloth for polishing instead.
All in all I still use it just due to the sun visor, I'll order a iridium shield in spring time.

My first helmet was a EXO-500... great helmet . I liked it so much that I ended up upgrading to a EXO-R2000... So worth it ~o~ . Forget the higher end Shoei and stuff , this one is where it's at !

My old helmet, that I still use in bad weather, is the EXO-500. I also find that the inside of the face shield scratches easily, and perhaps it's due to the anti-fog coating that Scorpion says they put on it? I've been through 3 face shields in 2 years.
