As we all know, you can only ride with a permit for so long... If your like me you could spend alot of time researching the endorsement test online trying to know just exactly what to expect when you go to take your test. When I looked up the test on youtube I was surprised to see that nobody had a 1st person view of themself taking the test! So I went ahead and recorded mine top to bottom and heres what to Expect when you go to get YOUR endorsement in Washington State. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK75nm9bzr8

in Australia i asked a few biker dealers and training centres, they wont let me film as it "apparently " can give the wrong info to learners. / hopefull riders. I do believe that Crackn81 was able to successfully film one tho, if i remember correctly in one of his vids from a year or so ago.

I recorded the Basic Rider Course 2 (taken after you've already got your license). One instructor asked not to be on my 'home movies', but otherwise no probs. I guess the rules vary from state to state, country to country.

Get caught trying to take any test with a camera in the UK and it's an automatic fail. Whether the camera is on or not.

They have an advert in UK driving test centres stating that you will get an automatic fail, irrespective of the test, if you are caught with a video camera, irrespective if it is on or not. I was reading it on my Mod1 at Blackburn as we got there early and were waiting around.

If they don't catch you, that's the bit that depends. If they do not enforce it, that is another. But if they do decide to enforce it, you are screwed with no comeback.

I asked my instructor if i could film it, he said absolutely! and yes it is the full endorsement test. no road test. With this endorsement I am now allowed a passanger and night riding. with my permit i was only allowed to ride in the daylight and no passangers.

Did you do you testing at the Boeing parking lot w/ WMST?

It would be really cool if I was the one administering the test, but no one has ever asked me about recording...

I love being an MSF instructor. I would have to double check with the policy of WMST but I personally have no problem with someone recording the event. They would need permission from both RiderCoaches and the participants. Washington DOL has a 5 part YouTube series of the endorsement test, so I doubt they care of someone does it POV.

My permit ends in January and already the season is getting close to the end unless our winter is warm. Being Kentucky it's likely to be a mix of both warm and just plain horrible weather. Once January does get here they won't be doing road tests for motorcycles so I'm stuck on what to do. I need to take the MSF but I wonder what they'd give me afterwords. Obviously not a permit, possibly the full license (my friend Tyler took it and got his license right after the course) but I'm not sure.
One reason they may not allow recording is because of the camera being a distraction to others... Even though I've only gone out with my Dad and Bryan once with the GoPro, it became a distraction for them... And its not even on there helmets...

DJ, after you take the MSF course, they will give you a course completion card. You take that card to the DMV and pay like $25 or $35 and get a new picture and license with the motorcycle endorsement.

Many of the novice riders (BRC) are nervous to begin with, most of them have never ridden a motorcycle. They already get anxious when the skills eval portion happens. A camera could further add to the feelings of anxiety.

Well... compared with my test 15 years ago, this was super hard mode. In brazil you just run around in a circuit. One lap, 3 cones, , one litle piece of wood to keep the bike up on it, one "8" to run around and BAM!
HERE IS YOUR LICENSE SON!
They provide a bike for you too. Honda Titan 150 and Yamaha DT 200R(2 stroke!!!).
