Dual Sports Helmets!

I don't know about better.... but I have an MX helmet (with goggles) which i'm currently using and I don't have any problems with that unless it rains.... gets a bit wet ofc :P...
My second helmet is more of a dual sporty with a visor and that let's through a ton of wind :S although I have adjusted the mic since...so maybe not so much anymore. If I get chance I'll be giving it a bash tomorrow :p

im getting a dual sport helmet my old one was good but clearly muffles my voice a bit so im hoping the dual sport will eliminate that

What mic are you using?

Also I went with a Bell MX-9. Quite comfortable but just waiting to try the upgraded mic. although I have a Audio Technica ATR 3350 on it's way which should sort out any issues. They are like the recommended powered mics for motovlogging.

What type of helmet is not very important, what's important is that it is not noisy. Noise could be from the vents, or the visor that does not have a good seal, or perhaps wind from below the chin bar. You'll need to test your setup and fine tune it for the best configuration that has very less wind noise yet clear voice.

My DS helmet is less noisy (to me) than my MX helmet, but for some reason the mic picks up way more noise in the DS helmet than in the MX helmet. IMO, a regular road helmet has the best sound, but audio is 80% setup and only about 20% helmet.

Depends on the helmet and on the mic placement.

My old scorpoin had the best sound with the mic under/behind the cheek pad.
My Icon Variant has the mic in the chin area, right in front of the mouth, to get the lowest windnoice.

Used to rock a normal bike helmet (vega something or another) But my mouth is too big or something.

Switched to a fly trekker, and its a day and night difference. Sounds much better, Feels more comfy etc
