Good video, I learned somethings. I had no idea that the battery could be charged via USB and not the normal DJI battery charging style. That is a nice feature.

A drone is something I have toyed with doing but being honest it's the cost the has put me off.

I think the mini-2 is supposed to be coming out soon. I wonder if closeout mini's will be cheap when that happens, and depending on the updates, it may not be worth the premium to buy the new one.

I decided to buy a mini. I have a Phantom 3, but it is to big for taking on the motorcycle. I bought the prime deal on the fly more package for the mini, and put my Phantom up on ebay to cover the cost. In 3 years I only have 2 hrs of flight time on the phantom because it is just to big to lug around on the motorcycle.

Yes, and it looks like I should be able to sell my old Phantom for around $300, so I figure really I am in $100, and this way I'll actually use the drone. Trying to take a phantom anywhere on a motorcycle isn't easy. The mini I can just toss the carry case in a small tail bag or my hydration pack, and bring the drone along.

I take my mini out a lot more than my mavic pro these days and chuck it about more than I would the big expensive drone !
