Drift Ghost Hd Problems...

Hi all,

Long time-no see ^_^ ! My brother @Zazo Vlogs in Iraq is having problems with two Drift Ghost HD cameras :/ ... and both have gradually gotten worse over time. The one camera began recording static 'n grainy blue patches in the video at night... kind'a like dithering in a JPEG image. Now both cameras are doing it at night, unfortunately. I will attach a link to what it looks like... Drift support has been no help (they've suggested replacing the SD cards... and he had with three without any luck)..... so, does anyone have any ideas what could be going on with both cameras at the same time? Very frustrating since it is nearly impossible to get any cameras in and out of Iraq (so sending them for repairs is kind'a out of the question :/ ~)... he was lucky enough to get these two in the way it is after he had an accident with his original Drift - the one that didn't have any problems ;p ~. He says he's tried every trick in the book, but I'm hoping there's just something were overlooking ;o . Thanks for everyone's help in advance ^_^ !... I'm hoping is just an easy fix ;p heh (but looking at the attached video - it looks like it's probably internal :/ ~). Cheers, friends ^^ :) ~

Assuming you have it set on the night setting then it can only be the sensor starting to fail.

Sad to say the HD is a bit rubbish at night time if it gets over loaded on the sensor it wigs out. To see if it is just the speed/bit rate try putting the cam in a low res setting to see if it is still blue. Better still upgrade to the Ghost S it has a good night time mode.

If I remember correctly the nightime mode on the HD does not adjust the frame rate to make up for the processor over load when exposure is maxing out.
