Drift App Problems On Mobile Playback

Got the drift hd ghost just under a year ago and had a Samsung galaxy s3 with the Drift app installed. Problem is with the wifi connection when trying to playback videos from the camera to the s3 using the drift app in that they keep pausing every few seconds, I've tried turning off the remote settings which didn't help.
I've now got a Galaxy s5 and was hoping the wifi connection would improve but it hasn't and still have the same connection problem.

Has any one else encountered the same wifi connection issues with the Drift hd ghost and the Drift app when using a mobile to watch what you've just filmed?.

don't have the same issue, but I find the drift app is pretty unreliable using my iPhone. a lot of random crashes.

i have a drift ghost-s and a samsung s3mini the drift app is useless, crashes, hangs and such

Nexus 4 and Drift HD : If I have a tiny video, it works, but with a commute video (30 min), don't even try, you will be dead before it shows up on your screen...

So yes, as sjbali said : useless.

This is all very valuable info. Not because I have the App, or even a Ghost to go with it. But because it shows that I can pretty much disregard the Wifi function of the Camera making it a definite DO NOT BUY for me!

Thanks chaps for saving me money!

No problem, I never use the wifi of the camera anyway.
But be aware drift is very good for the image quality and the features like the remote, the rotating lens, battery life, ...

If you want the wifi, just don't buy it I guess ;)

I have the Drift HD, AND an HD170 Stealth (well 2 actually!) and I agree, the image quality is pretty good.

But I was thinking more of in the future, if I'm comparing the Ghost-S against something else with Wi-Fi, I'll know to disregard the Wi-Fi as it's a Non-feature and adds no value to the camera.

TBH I think Drift is out of the race anyway after the way they've priced their new baby camera. The one that has LESS features than any they've ever made, yet still costs £200!!

I only use the wifi to make sure a new camera set-up is correct before I go out filming. Especially useful if attaching the camera onto a different part of my bike.
On the very few occasions I need to check the video while I'm out, I just use the screen. Wifi on any camera is a huge battery drainer.

I think the new Stealth 2 is a bit of a panic decision by Drift. They seriously need an updated Ghost S, in order to compete with GoPro, but it's not ready yet and they want something out for Christmas. Unfortunately for them, you can buy the new 'basic' GoPro Hero for half the price (or buy 2 for the same price).
