General Do you NEED a dedicated vlogging camera? I got a ZV-1, let's find out!

OK, so I'm not sure if "General" is right for this, but I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a dedicated, off-bike, vlogging camera - a Sony ZV-1. In this video, I go through the why, what I plan to use it for, and test it out.

I don't often post here, but a filmed-Saturday-published-Monday video doesn't happen often for me, and certainly not with all the flourishes this one has in it - there's a lot going on, and it was a ton of fun, and the thumbnail I think is beautiful - and a shout-out to @Dewey316, who worked with me last night to create it! Enjoy!

Snappy new kit mate [pardon the pun] :D
I thought about getting a standalone camera, not so much for pointing at myself specifically, but for just taking pics out on the trails to save me messing with my phone which I generally use for navigation.

Thanks! Go for it, this thing apparently is a little powerhouse.
So you got sensible about buying new Gopros and then.... :D
LOL... I'm still quite tempted to get a Hero 11 - it's 15% off right now, WITH a free Enduro battery [in addition to the 1 that comes with the camera]. Gotta make the decision tonight :(

I'll probably hold off though... spent too much coin lately, on vlogging and other things.

Good looking camera. I just film off-bike with my Hero 8, or sometimes I just use my S20 phone.

Eh, it works for me, I like to keep things simple.

I gotcha - I just don't like the GoPro image quality for off-bike vids, but I get that THAT, is just me.

I am trying to keep things simple - the short version is the ZV-1 will replace my phone in most cases, for ease of use and the mic input. My porch shots, in particular, will benefit from this.
