You guys fancy helping me convince my mother that that's a good idea? lol

There's so many reasons why a bigger bike is safer (providing you know what you're doing and are sensible).

Safer in wind, more weight is harder to blow around.
Build quality is better, less likely to fall to bits.
Better acceleration and higher speed keeps you safer if you have to get out of a tricky sitcuation.
Normally handles better but vaires on bike choice.
Bigger bike is easier for cages to see.
Bigger tyre is better for going around corners.

Many more. Typing fron my phone at work so can't detail.

You look so much cooler
You can do long distance rides
Your out of your parents way more
Its not a YBR
Its much safer when you ride in the snow
POOOOWWWWEEEEERRRR
More comfortable
You'll have to spend quite a bit of your money = less money for drink, drugs and women.
You can out run the chav's at 6th form/college
You dont get stuck behind old people driving slowly..............

Re: A Very Good Day

It not being a YBR is a good enough reason on its own.
