Of course I got it all on vid
and will be uploading it after the editing is done. I think I'm going to make two vids out of it. One full length vlog that will obviously include the wreck & aftermath and then a shorty vid with just the wreck since people seem to like instant gratification these days. lol
Here's what happened.(I know, I know... Shut up and edit the damn vid already and quit typing shit)
I found a really fucking awesomely twisty road out in the middle of nowhere that I'd never been on before. I rode it, found some cool rock formation stuff and a really cool dog that I hung out with for a sec. Then on the way back I hit about 4-5 trails(not gonna be in the vid) and then on the very first nice chicane I was enjoying the curve so much and talking that I didn't have time to setup for the next curve. Typical newb mistake that I'm sure taught me a valuable lesson. I'm sure target fixation played a roll in the crash since looking at the video it seems I should have had time to make the next curve it I would've just leaned in fast instead of hitting the brakes like a tool.
I'm fine, I was wearing my gear and it did a good job of keeping the blood on the inside of my body. I hit my forearm/elbow hard enough to leave a shiney pressure scrape from the pads in my jacket so I'm sure it would have been a pretty bad wreck if I were a squid. Not to mention the nice bit of scrapes on my helmet that really makes me glad I was wearing it. Hit my helmet hard enough to knock the face shield off on one side.
The video should be available in the morning for your viewing pleasure. 2hrs left for Vegas to render it, then the upload time to youtube and were in business.
