Contour +2

Anyone have experience with this camera?? Specifically converting a 3.5mm mic to the 2.5mm??

No experience with the mic thing, or the +2 but I had a contour Roam a couple years ago and loved it. the camera itself had good software and great quality. Probably not much of a help, but I wouldn't be scared to buy another Contour camera.

Buy an adaptor. Cheaper and neater than making one.

Or, I know for sure that the Sena 20S mics are 2.5mm. You can get those for sub $10 online. It has to be the 20S mic though as other models may have unique connectors. I use the flat wired mic from an SMH10R for my vlogs and it's great. But I had to custom wire it.

Yeah i know you need an adapter but they are incredibly difficult to find on amazon.

Oh wow I didn't even think about that.. ill have to look at that.

I use the contour cameras for MX stuff as they take quite a beating-- all you need is a 2.5->3.5mm patch cable. Check amazon, they're quite cheap. Note that it's better to have a right angle plug on the camera side so you can rubber band or zip tie it to the camera.
