Hey all,

Been a while since I posted. Hippo encouraged me to stop by again recently so here I am. I stopped posting because my vlog took on a more day in the life format for a while. Mainly because I wanted to learn some shooting tricks and my in-helmet audio always sounds like hot garbage.

Anyway, been back in the motovlog saddle a few weeks and here's my latest. Did the saddle sore 1k within the state of Florida a few days ago. I had an absolutely wonderful time doing it.

Man, I wanna do the 1k challenge but afaik the Iron Butt peeps want a witness on the miles at every fuel stop. And most station stores here in Norway are usually closed at night.

Having just done it, the requirements are still pretty fresh in my head. Otherwise they're fairly easy to look up.

1. The only witness you need is start and finish.
2. Every fuel up requries a receipt with printed date, time, and address.
3. Dated business receipt required every 350 miles
4. You need a receipt every time you change directions. This was important for me as my route was circular.

That's really it. Ultimately, they need the receipts to tell the story of your day. I got more receipts than were required. i wanted to leave no doubt as to where I was throughout the day.

I did one of these a few years ago. Another thing that is helpfull for them to verify your route is some sort of GPS tracker. I use spotwalla.com with an app on my phone. It uploads a point every 5 min and then you can set a trip on the website to pull those points in and make a map to send them.

I saw they had recommended spotwalla. I relied on my google timeline. Google shorted me about 80 miles though. When I went through the steps, I saw that there were times that it put me off the road for miles at a time.
